What are cookies?

This website uses cookies. A cookie is a small piece of data (text) that is sent from a web server and stored on the client machine. At each visit, the client returns the cookie to the server while informing it about the previous activity. Cookies allow us to distinguish one user from the other users of our website, allowing us to provide them with a better browsing experience for themselves and improving the website as well.

Cookies may perform functions such as, for example, allow the user to navigate between the different pages by efficiently remembering their preferences and, in general, can improve the user’s individual needs. These are the main types of cookies:

  1. Session cookies: Guarantee normal navigation and use of the website allowing us, for example, to provide a purchase link or authenticate access to restricted areas.
  2. Analytics cookies: Collect information, in aggregate form, regarding the number of users and how they visit the site itself.
  3. Functionality cookies: Allow the browsing user to use a number of selected criteria functions, for example, the language or the products selected for purchase in order to improve the same service.
  4. Profiling Cookies: Profiling cookies are intended to create user profiles and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences shown by users while surfing the net.

Which cookies does ABACO use?

ABACO uses only session cookies, which guarantee the normal navigation and use of the website. They allow you to make a purchase or to authenticate access to restricted areas (transmission of the session identification consists of random numbers generated by the server, e.g.: JSESSIONID, PHPSESSID). Session cookies are temporary and once you close the browser window they are deleted from the device.

ABACO does not use profiling cookies aimed at creating user profiles in order to send them online advertising as per the preferences expressed while navigating this site.
