Tobacco leaves will be tracked from the field to the storage centres, with an innovative barcode system allowing a complete and secure traceability over provenance, lots and destination of the stock. With this choice, Philip Morris confirm their commitment in delivering the best value for their clients.

Philip Morris is already working with farmers to reduce the environmental footprint of tobacco curing through their Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) program. With this initiative in Italy, the international company optimises the work on the field ensuring its full attention for traceability and quality of production.

ABACO’s SITI4farmer suite will manage all the data coming from earth observation and app in the field, ensuring a complete overview over the process.
